THE ICE CAP (CHAPTER 2)

the ice cap  (chapter 2)

But at end of day, the door is closed
Paris Bear is home & hosed.
And all alone he dreams of those
who used to live oh - long ago....

The legend is & so it goes,
his parents told him see...
thay Polar Icecaps were the place
his ancestors roamed free ...

Free, free as free can be.

He thinks of things his parents told him
when he was a kid,
about the block of ice they lived on...
all the fun things that they did

“I do so wish that it were true, those Ice Caps,

oh & how I do!
I want to believe in bears like me,
Polar bears not caged, as free can be”

Such things make his heart ache
get him feeling gloomy,
there in his caged refrigerator, which
is not all that roomy!

PARIS ZOO (CHAPTER 1)

Paris zoo (chapter 1)

Paris Bear lives in a fridge
As big as one can be

It is his room, his cage, his house
Where he dreams of being free

He is the star of Paris Zoo
he’s been there since his birth
Where all the children come to ‘oooh!’
At the last Polar Bear on earth.

The children giggle, sing him songs
And all this fun, he loves
And it’s so cold inside his zoo-room
All the kids wear woollen gloves
